Asbestos And The Law Conference Liverpool Maritime Museum 3rd March 2023

The Conference was organised by Merseyside Asbestos Victim Support Group (MAVS), and Kindly sponsored by Oriel Chamber, Keith Bintley Limited, and Thompsons Solicitors. MAVS have been supporting victims and their families for over 25 years, and also supports International Worker's Memorial Day annual events in Merseyside.

The event was chaired by Peter Cowan.

Speakers at the event were:

Michael Brace, specialist in industrial disease and personal injury

Professor Judy Coulson, specialist in Molecular Physiology and Cell Signing

David Bradley, formerly of both HSL and HSE

Kevin Johnson, Partner at Leigh Day

Dr Anthony (Tony) Pope, Consultant in Clinical Oncology, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre

Clair Sajewicz, Senior Coroner’s Officer

Derek's 5 page report provides good detail of the event, which was very informative, given the quality and knowledge of the speakers who are specialists in their areas.
