On an annual basis, mental health charities such as the Mental Health Foundation, and Trade Unions dedicate a week of the year to the theme of mental health awareness. This year, with the Tory Government's destruction of NHS mental health support services, and the appalling levels of suicide in the UK as a result; it is more important than ever that we engage with the media and public to highlight the support and help organisations such as the Mental Health Foundation can provide.
We must also ensure that in an election year, we make Mental Health and the destruction of the NHS, an election issue in the eyes of the public.
