Asbestos Sampling Through The Post!

John Bridle a self proclaimed world expert on Asbestos who claims that white asbestos is not at all harmful to health " in the environment we have today" and that anyone believing that white asbestos causes mesothelioma does not understand the science and claims there is no mechanism by which white asbestos can cause this in humans.

He further claims that white asbestos is in fact totally harmless!

His opinion is contrary to the Government, the EU, The World Health Organisation and the World Trade Organisation.

He advises the Government and major house building companies and claims that he can also save the country millions of pounds in house building and asbestos reclamation.

His company called Asbestos Watchdog has now set up a website offering a £20 asbestos sampling service. He advises people to take a sample of the suspicious substance, send it to them via the post together with a £20 payment and he will provide an official analysis of the substance. He says he does the analysis himself, despite it being illegal to do so without the use of suitably qualified chemists. He also claims also to be able to see the presence of white asbestos fibres without he use of a microscope and purely using the naked eye!

Recent investigations by the BBC Radio 4 programme, "You and Yours", on 18th October covered the full history of John Bridles escapades and his background, and it raises serious concerns over the Government's policy on asbestos and the advice given by the government on asbestos at work. He had major input into recent policy documents on asbestos, and until now never has been checked by the Government for his credentials and claims of clients ranging from the Conservative Party and the Vale of Glamorgan Trading Standards, despite them prosecuting him for falsifying his academic credentials.

Concern has been raised about the practice being promoted on his website of sending asbestos samples through the post and this subject is being aired again on the BBC Radio 4 programme tomorrow (wednesday) at 12 noon.
