Website Sponsor Succeeds In Amsterdam Marathon
To Raise Funds For CWUHA

As you will no doubt be aware, Dominic Hemsi from solicitors, McCool, Patterson & Hemsi who sponsor this website, entered the Amsterdam marathon to raise money for the CWU Humanitarian Aid.

We are pleased to report that the race took place last Sunday (21st October), and despite some personal discomfort, Dominic managed to stay the course! Announcing his success in an email to his many fans and supporters, Dominic said,

Dominic Hemsi"I finished the race and the time was 3 hours 41mins.

I was hoping to beat 4 hours so am pleased with the time.

I thought I'd have a picture to send but haven't received one yet - but I think you can imagine the tracks of my tears  down my cheeks  and frothing mouth ( sorry that's too graphic!) and look of excruciating pain and horror - as I reveled in the ordeal!

Thanks for your extremely generous sponsorship - there is some more to come and I have some people to chase up so I'm hoping there is a little more for the CWUHA.

I'll say my thanks properly next time I see you. But for now thank you very much indeed  - it really got me round the course."

Now all we need to ensure is that those who sponsored him in the belief that he may not make it to the end of the race, quickly cough up with their money!

After all, it was all in aid of a good cause: the CWU Humanitarian Aid
