Healthy Workplaces Theme - European Health & Safety Week 2008  

This year’s European Health & Safety Week takes place 20th to 26th October with the theme of Healthy Workplaces.

UK Campaign material will be launched and available nearer the time.

In the meantime, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work have produced campaign factsheets identifying Risk Assessment as being the key to healthy workplaces.

To quote from their website:

"Risk assessment is the start of the risk management process. It enables employers to understand the action that they need to take to improve workplace health and safety, as well as productivity. The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) has developed a European-wide information campaign focusing on risk assessment. The campaign addresses high risk sectors and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) especially."
