TUC Set Up PC Security Issues Website

Computers are now everywhere - in business and in homes. They are now an indispensable piece of equipment without which whole tasks, and leisure activities would not exist. In truth an electronic world that does not exist physically - a virtual world.

Like the real world their are risks out there which can damage your health, but in this case your security health which in turn can damage your financial and even personal health.

What do we mean? Well there are virus, trojans, key loggers, worms, spyware to mention just a few things which at worst will steal your identity and credit cards and at best take over your computer and eat away at its resources and even destroy the hard disk.

Whilst the lack of PC security is a major problem in the UK with the majority of spam email in Europe emanating from UK PCs and whole networks of 'Zombie PCs' being used in the Uk to spread virus and spam etc, the TUC have now set up a website in collaboration with organisations involved in PC security; aimed at educating all PC users about the risks and what they can do about them.

So now there is no excuse for you not to educate yourself as to the risks and threats to your PC security and ultimately your personal security.
