HSE Launches Shattered Lives 2009 Campaign The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has announced it is to launch its new 2009 Shattered Lives campaign in order to raise awareness of the issue of slips, trips and falls at work. The new campaign includes an on-line learning tool called STEP. It is an easy way to learn about slips and trips, how they are caused, why preventing them is important and how to tackle them. Completing this package will aid understanding of slips and trips, but to reduce accidents you will also need to take action in your workplace. The HSE has recently produced a pack of A4 “cling” stickers, with the Shattered Lives campaign slogan, which can be displayed in the work environment in order to reinforce and personalise the safety message of its campaign.
