I first joined what was then Post Office Telephones in July 1970, and have been active within the Union ever since. I have been a member of the same Branch since the very first day I joined the Union.

I am proud to say that I was one of the very first Union Safety Reps in post in 1977, when the SRSC Regs first came into effect. I remained committed to health and safety for almost 30 years.

Having left in March 2004, what had become BT in the '80s, I continued on as a retired member of the Union, and remain active to this day through social media, editing and hosting this website, and of course involving myself in the fight to help keep health and safety at work a major priority for the Union, and to continue the fight to stop the Tories from destroying all the working person's protections that Trade Union's and working people have had to fight so hard for; ever since the 1700s!

I am a retired member of the Grt Merseyside and South West Lancs Amalgamated Branch, and member of the H&S Co-ord.
