Noise Action Week 2011 23-27 May

Noise Action Week gives communities and organisations around the UK the opportunity to get involved in highlighting solutions to noise problems, raising awareness of the impacts that excessive noise has on communities and individuals, and to have fun while doing it.

Main themes for Noise Action Week 2011 are:

  • Noise and schools – the importance of a healthy noise environment for children and teachers
  • Noise in our gardens and open spaces

We know noise problems are local, so you might want to choose your own theme. Other themes that may be relevant in your neighbourhood are:

  • Noise from licensed premises and events
  • General neighbourhood noise – music, parties, barking dogs
  • Headphones and hearing
