CWU Launches Work Life Balance Survey In O2

The CWU have announced it’s support for a Work life Balance survey to be conducted within O2. The survey, which has been commissioned by Middlesex University, is a pan European survey being run in various communications companies across eight European states.

Work Life Balance in o2Announcing the initiative in a letter to all branches (LTB593/2007), Grace Mitchell CWU National Assistant Secretary said that this is an opportunity for all O2 members to have their say on their work life balance and comes hot on the heels of a Sunday Times report that ranked O2 as one of the top UK employers in the ‘best for well being’ category. The aim is to capture the views of O2 members in order to identify issues and work together with the company to resolve them.

The Union says that O2 management are supportive of the survey and have agreed that where operationally viable, they will allow people 20 minutes off line to complete the survey.

The Survey is available electronically at http://www.risbo.org/quality/en_tele/ or via the CWU website at www.cwu.org. Alternatively, members can fill in a hard copy which will need to be collated by the Branch and returned to my office.

The survey will run for three weeks from Monday 2nd July and the final date for returned surveys is 20th July 2007. Middlesex University will then collate the results which will be available to Branches and members as soon as practicably possible.
