But now comes the ultimate personal sacrifice - a marathon run to support and raise funds for the Communication Workers Union Humanitarian Aid Charity (CWUHA)!

Dominic Hemsi will be running the Amsterdam marathon Sunday 21st October.

Writing to his many colleagues and fans to seek support, Dominic Hemsi said,

"Some of you will know about my mid life crisis and the marathon I'm going to do in October. This was neatly summarised by the 13 year girl who ran after me with her chums on a recent Saturday evening as I plodded through Timperley "run Forrest run " and then " don't you have anything better to do on a saturday night " - I managed to avoid engaging in argument with a 13 year old, and my self esteem remains intact!"

So remember it is not only the marathon itself that takes a price, but the training in itself can be rather challenging!
